AMS & PCM – The Rules
1. Edit your privacy settings to make your PSN tag visible on social club.
2. Respect the hosts; if you’re not a fan of the meet plz just leave.
3. No killing, including revenge killing. We do understand accidents happen, so relax. (Use common sense here, if people killing friendly it’s ok. Back up the host if there’s a trouble maker.)
4. Keep LOTS of distance, I cannot stress this enough. Some people lag so be mindful of this.
5. No top tier supercars unless requested by the host.
6. When parking up relax, don’t go jumping on other cars.
7. No planes/helicopters unless discussed with host. Generally only for filming or special events.
8. Report bad behaviour to higher ranking members but be realistic.
9. Don’t bring cops! If you do get them leave the pack straight away and call Lester or kill yourself!
10. Passive mode! NO! We film a lot and we don’t want to see your ghost car! (Common sense here) If you do end up in passive mode go to the back so you’re not ruining anyone’s footage. If you go into passive mode and go to the front of the pack you will be kicked/banned.
Now these are just some very general rules that help new people. If you consider yourself further advanced and would like higher ranks you’ll need to get yourself familiar with our Car Meet Code.
THE CODE
Stancing/slamming/lowering your Car:
1. What are we talking about – See video of the how too – Will make one it due course.
2. DON’T BUY BULLET PROOF TIRES
3. My tips – Use heavy sniper, no armour, 5 shots to the bottom of the brake disk for most cars. Play around with it.
4. Why we do it – 1. Performance gains, cars drift & perform better. 2. Looks epic.
5. Don’t lower your car around others because your car will glitch and blow up. Go to a quiet place, the further away the better for less bullet holes.
Joining a Lobby:
1. When you join a lobby, try to find out if there a specific theme and choose your car accordingly.
2. Proceed to the meet point asap.
Parking Up:
1. When reaching the car park slow down and be careful of your surroundings.
2. Don’t rush your parking; keep lots of distance and wait your turn (drive like you would in real life).
3. Don’t drift around like an idoit. In saying that, there are meet spots that have great obstacles Please only drift them when the hosts request you to, and don’t worry they will!
4. When you get out of your car, check out others’ cars, don’t go jumping or standing on cars (even your own). If possible walk around as realistically as possible.
5. Keep your eye on the host, if he gets in his car it’s likely you’re leaving soon. Host will generally advise via mic or by beeping twice quickly to signal attention/we’re leaving.
6. Take time leaving and keep plenty of distance.
Single file Cruising:
1. Generally used around the city, spacing is very important
2. There’s no rush - you’re all going to the same place
3. No overtaking unless the person pulls over (common sense please)
4. The person at the back has the best view! So don’t try to be first!
5. If the host beeps twice, they are drawing your attention to a sharp turn or accident etc ahead, please repeat if cruise is large.
6. Accidents happen, so please stay calm. If someone is taking the piss however, let the host or a high ranking member know. They’ll advise the person to calm down and if they do not, this will result in a kick/ban.
Freeway Cruises/Roll ons:
1. Freeway cruises can be great fun, but once again, please don’t rush as we’re all going to the same place.
2. Follow the hosts pace, but keep your distance, use all lanes but be very mindful or where others are.
3. If the host beeps twice they mean attention, this could stand for a number of things, eg: roll ons, turn ahead, slow down, etc. The host will make it obvious what they are doing.
4. If the host has signalled roll ons (Rolling drag races) please try to pair up and drop back a bit. Let the host start the first roll on (they will do this by beeping 3 times). Give them a second then proceed to do your roll on. This can also be done when the cruise is spread out. But make sure you keep a close eye on your map and in front of you so you don’t come crashing through the pack.
5. Once again stay calm when accidents occur, we’re racing on freeways so they do happen. Wait up for someone if you’ve taken them out, apologise etc. The host is always aware when mod shops are needed so don’t stress.
Drift Trains:
1. Get a car that can slide
2. Slam it
3. Keep distance, and try slide corners.
4. Don’t overtake.
5. Accidents will occur when we are drifting.
6. Drift trains can be used to simply cruise around; let the host set the pace.
Drift Session:
1. Same as drift train but we’ll normally find a place such as one of the docks or airports.
2. Generally continue the drift train spirit of following a line of drifters, do this because it looks good and great fun.
3. Try to keep with the flow of drifters and not go the wrong way.
Drag Session:
1. When a host takes you to a drag spot please all park up first. Once everyone who was arriving with you arrives, proceed to start drags.
2. Generally speaking do two at a time. Most drag spots only have two lanes so use common sense here. The host will notify you if you’re at an airport and if we want to do more than two at a time.
3. Watch the start person, the best ways to start that cause the least confusion to start are:
a. Hold the Salute, when he moves his hand Go!
b. Gun, aim gun at both racers, to make sure they are ready, I then aim to sky and shoot to signal Go!
4. If no one’s there but we want to drag, simply use three beeps, accelerate on the third beep (like roll ons).
5. At airport drag sessions I encourage members to do roll ons on the return strip (if there’s space). Simply cruise at a low speed and beep three times to start a roll on. This can be fun as you get different results compared to standing starts.
6. Once you’ve had enough, park up.
7. Watch for the host, most host’s will realise the drag session has been done and will park up and then leave.
8. If a host is beeping twice quickly he generally means let’s move out.
Hope this gives you an insight into how car meets run.
